چکیده
Space-based augmentation system (SBAS) provides correction information for improving the global navigation satellite (GNSS) positioning accuracy in real-time, which includes orbit/clock and ionospheric delay corrections. At SBAS service area boundaries, is not fully available to GNSS users only a partial available, mostly information. By using geospatial correlation property of ionosphere information, coverage can be extended by spatial extrapolation algorithm. This paper proposes extending biharmonic spline The wide (WAAS) map its error compared with GPS Klobuchar model. mean reduction at low latitude 52.3%. method conventional when set corrections are available. 44.8%, improvement significant latitude.

Performance Analysis of GPS Positioning Using WAAS and EGNOS
With the growing demand for accurate and reliable worldwide differential GPS positioning, there has been a significant move towards the use of real-time GPS augmentation systems with wide area differential positioning capabilities. The US Wide Area Augmentation System (WAAS) and the European Geostationary Navigation Overlay system (EGNOS) are good examples of such a move. While these augmentati...
متن کاملAn IMU-Aided Carrier-Phase Differential GPS Positioning System
We consider the problem of carrier-phase differential GPS positioning for an land vehicle navigation system (LVNS), tightly coupled with an inertial measurement unit (IMU) and a speedometer. The primary focus is to apply Bayesian network to an IMU-aided GPS positioning system based on carrierphase differential GPS. We describe the implementation details of the positioning system that integrates...
متن کاملIonospheric Threats to Space-Based Augmentation System Development
The ionosphere contributes the largest and most unpredictable error to single frequency GPS users’ range measurements. The goal of a Space-Based Augmentation System (SBAS) in mitigating these ionospheric errors is two-fold. First, the SBAS broadcasts error corrections to its users for improved positioning accuracy. Moreover, the SBAS provides a service that GPS alone cannot: ensuring position e...
متن کاملAn Ionosphere Estimation Algorithm for WAAS Based on Kriging
GPS alone cannot provide the integrity needed for air navigation. Several error sources deteriorate the precision of the position estimate. One of the largest and more unpredictable sources of error for single frequency users is the ionosphere. For this reason, ionospheric behavior drives the performance of the Wide Area Augmentation System (WAAS). At any given time, the only information we hav...

This report describes the key elements and results of Stanford University’s contribution to the development of the Wide Area Augmentation System (WAAS) and its underlying technologies. The Wide Area Augmentation System (WAAS) became the first operational space based augmentation system (SBAS) in July 2003. WAAS augments the Global Positioning System (GPS) with the following three services: inte...
